Hi,

I am the owner and lead photographer at Ali Bell Photography and I am extremely proud to be able to share my journey with you and create new and lasting memories for all my clients. As you can see I am certificated to national diploma level and to ensure I stay up to date with this fast moving sector I regularly update my CPD and attend training where possible. I believe a photographer should never rely on experience and rest on the laurels and continue to strive for improvement.

I have worked professionally since 2015 following completion of the the Professional Diploma in photography and subsequent advanced diploma in photography. I made this decision as there are a lot of "self-trained" photographers out there and it was incredibly important to me that my clients received the very best of service and I was able to perform to the very best of my abilities.

​

I love to work creatively and I'm always keen to try out new ideas as well as maintain a beautifully classic and "front cover" style to any occasion.  My photography inspiration has been born through those early classic film era's, imagine Munroe, Grant and those deep film noir movies of years gone by. These days we can be creative with digital imagery and as well as a classic wedding tale, bright and bold I love to work in this classic way.

My love of photography began as a youngster, watching old school black and white movies and from there being inspired by modern photographers who love that classical film and photo journalistic look to an image. With this in mind my best images I believe have come from two things "patience" and "timing" The world’s best photo journalists know when the right image is the "one" or to wait that few more seconds, minutes as it may be on its way. I believe wedding photography is the same, the very best images are full of emotion and feeling, and this cannot be created or rushed.

I have always been a creative mind and love to push my creativity as far as possible. My love for movies and the black & white art as well as writing have long been "hobbies" of mine. I am now in a very fortunate position that I am paid and support my own family through my passions and loves. Every shoot has a reason, a meaning and my time with any individual is positive and full of happiness and joy. How many people can say that about their own jobs? I certainly believe this job is one of the greatest you can do!

I believe in my vision to create a timeless tale of love, and happiness against any backdrop of emotion and feeling of an occasion. I want a couple to look at their photographs many years down the line and instantly "feel" the same emotions as they did on that day. Clients choose me with a guarantee that I will give everything to making their magic day last for a lifetime.
